Minifrag Announcement

Due to unfortunate circumstances, we are unable to host BoilerFrag this semester. Instead we are hosting Minifrag on Saturday, April 15th from 10 AM to 10 PM! There will be tournaments for Super Smash Bros. (Melee and Smash 4), Overwatch, Rocket League, League of Legends, and more! Admission for the event is free but a tournament pass will cost $3 and get you into all tournament games. We will also be serving pizza from HotBox for $3. You can also buy a tournament pass and pizza for $5. We have some great prizes lined up for the event and tons of other fun games for you to enjoy, don't miss it!

Hello Boilermakers!

Our next LAN is coming up this weekend on March 5 from 12-8pm. There will be Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Rocket League, and tons of other games. Come hang out the whole time or visit during a study break.

Hello Boilermakers!

This weekend we will be hosting our next LAN on February 12 from 12-8pm in Stewart 214. The theme is Valentine's Day, so bring a friend or a date! We will have tons of games to play, as well as 2 vs 2 couple's events in games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Rocket League and many more. In addition, Purdue's League of Legends club will be joining us and running a special Valentine's Day league competition. Hope to see you all there!

Also be sure to stay tuned for important info regarding BoilerFrag this semester. We will be posting information soon.

General Rules

CS:GO

  • Format dependent on entrant.
  • <5 Entrants, Best of 3 Round Robin, points based on Rounds won
  • 5-8 Entrants, Best of 3 Double Elimination Bracket, Best of 5 Finals
  • 8+ Entrants, Best of 3 Single Elimination Bracket, Best of 5 Finals
  • 5v5
  • Teams sign up at the event
  • Incomplete teams will be paired together to make teams of 5
  • Map Veto System
  • Each team vetoes maps from the competitive pool until one remains.
  • Competitive ruleset
  • 1v1
  • Matches will occur on this custom map:
  • Note that rifles will be provided, and there are two AWPs in the center of the map.
  • Also note that there will be some preliminary server setup for each round:
  • Start in Casual Classic (so that armour is given every round)
  • Open console, run the following commands:
  • bot_kick: kicks bots
  • mp_maxrounds 31: sets the round limit to 31
  • mp_halftime 1: optional, sets a halftime for the server (break and side switch)
  • Rounds will be first to 16 kills.

League of Legends

  • Format dependent on entrant.

  • In case teams go 1-0-2/0-1-2, the team with 1 win is the winner.

Spring 2015 Callouts

Boilerfrag 9.0 Announcement

Boilerfrag is back on!!! As many of you are aware, last year we were unable to fully organize a Boilerfrag, but this semester Boilerfrag 9.0 makes its glorious return on November 12th and 13th.

What is Boilerfrag?

Boilerfrag is a once-a-semester 22 hour LAN party hosted by PUGG in the Armory. We will have tournaments for a multitude of games, including, but not limited to Super Smash Bros., League of Legends, Dota 2, Halo, and CS;GO. Tickets for Boilerfrag will go on sale starting in October. A full list of games and rules will be posted in the near future

We will continue to post updates and information about Boilerfrag and other future events here, as well as on Facebook, Facebook.com/PurdueGamers so be sure to stay tuned. A full schedule of our events for the whole semester will also be available here soon. Be sure to be on the lookout.
